On August 1, 2021, MTV turns forty years old. Yes, MTV is middle-aged. Many of you are probably thinking how can MTV be 40 years old since 1995 was only fifteen years ago :).

Our parents and grandparents thought the music of their generation was better than ours. We feel the same way about our music compared to what's out there today. Your kids, or grandkids for some of you, will disagree with you about who had the better music.

Parade by Prince and the Revolution was released on March 31, 1986. It was the eighth album from Prince and the third and last album where he shared billing with The Revolution. The record went platinum and went to #3 on the album charts.
